Victory for Swiss Living Challenge at the Solar Decathlon 2017

As a bronze partner Bauart is delighted with the Swiss team’s victory at the Solar Decathlon 2017, organized in Denver by the U.S. Department of Energy. This is a university competition involving ten events where the teams of students who have designed and built extremely energy-efficient full-size houses challenge each other. Representing Switzerland, our team includes students from the EPFL, HEIA Fribourg, HEAD Geneva and the University of Fribourg. Their bold and ambitious concept is a modular neighbourhood house called the NeighborHub. As an environmentally responsible focal point, NeighborHub aims to bring neighbours together with a series of unifying themes linked with the concept of sustainability.
