Urban densification in Zurich-West

Urban densification and landscape should be complementary to each other as can be seen with the striking example of Förrlibuck Terrassen ‘floor-by-floor ownership’ housing (PPE) in Zurich-West. As things stand at present, i.e. only shortly after work has been completed and even before planting has started for the ‘green’ facades, the building brings to mind mountain peaks and already fits in perfectly with the surrounding gardens. Optimal use of the land will shape a building complex which, viewed from any angle, will blend all the neighbourhood’s different-sized heterogeneous buildings into a unified ensemble.
