The spiritual leader of Tibetan Buddhism began his visit to Switzerland at the House of Religions in Bern. An integral part of the multi-purpose Europaplatz centre in Bern, designed by the architectural practice Bauart in conjunction with Urbanoffice, the House of Religions welcomes five religious communities under one roof. A Hindu temple, a mosque, a Christian chapel, a Buddhist temple and a prayer room for Alevis were created in the centre to foster intercultural dialogue and meetings between representatives of these various religious communities.
