OFS, 20 years in Neuchâtel for the National Centre for Statistics

29.10.2018 | The Swiss Federal Statistics Office (OFS) is celebrating 20 years of presence in Neuchâtel. Designed by Bauart, the main building and tower which house the OFS have played a key role in the transformation of the derelict railway station plateau into a new sustainable urban district now known as Ecoparc. To mark this jubilee an event bringing together leading personalities from Swiss politics, business and science was held on the 14^th floor of the tower.  Bauart, as the designer, was invited to the celebration. Willi Frei was asked to outline the history of the project in a lecture presenting the specificities of these flagship buildings and guided tours gave participants an opportunity to discover their main spatial entities.
