Competition for the Redevelopment of Helvetiaplatz, Bern I 6th prize

06.07.2019 | The project by the YEWO LANDSCAPE team in Vienna, with whom Bauart participated for the urban planning, architecture and scenography aspects, has been awarded 6^th prize in the competition for the redevelopment of Helvetiaplatz in Bern.  The historical ‘urban hub’ concept of the Kirchenfeld neighbourhood inspired the project’s basic structure. The newly developed square with an open central area bordered by informal rows of trees would be enjoyed both as a recreational area and a gateway to the Kirchenfeld district.
