« Lodge79 » is presented in the latest issue of the “Wir Holzbauer” journal. Located on the site of the former Maggi industrial complex at Kemptthal near Winterthur, this renovated railway hangar – a historic building dating from the 1920s – opens up more space for the neighbouring Givaudan Innovation Center. In line with the coherent implementation of the “house inside the house” concept, only a few minor changes were necessary to the historic structure which was worth protecting.  New functions inside the hangar have been installed in colourful wooden boxes as a visual reminder of the railway carriages which were loaded and unloaded under the same roof for decades.
