Raffael Graf was interviewed by the BernerZeitung about urban development strategy studies carried out more particularly by Bauart concerning the upgrading and densification of the commune of Ostermundigen. He presented the idea of the “Ostermundigen house”, a housing unit which would be located along the commune’s main traffic artery enabling a striking yet locally compatible densification. These buildings would include public spaces on the ground floor and a varied selection of living units on upper floors. Standing slightly back from the main road, their location would create visual effect with existing identity-generating constructions as well as providing front areas for ground-floor use.   A pilot project for this housing unit should be entering the planning phase as soon as possible.
