An award-winning proposition for a new neighbourhood in Echallens

10.09.2018 | The proposition developed by the contractors Equitim and Realitim is one of the winners of the invitation to tender for the "Record - Crépon Est" eco-district in Echallens. Designed by Bauart in association with Plarel, the architectural concept of this new neighbourhood is based on a careful attentiveness to the specific characteristics of the town and the great beauty of the surrounding landscape. This approach is expressed not only in its overall shape, but also in the organisation of its pathways, the definition of its exterior spaces and the contours of its buildings. The project is characterised by a non-linear succession of constructions, segmented structures and various distinct public spaces. Moreover, there is a strong interaction between the buildings and open spaces, manifested by lush green spaces and a specific network of lanes, avenues and pathways.
